| Issue Date: | 2020-01 |
| Abstract: | Archaeological interventions in the last few decades in the city of León, where the Legio VI Victrix and the Legio VII Gemina were located during the Early Roman Empire, have uncovered a considerable amount of Roman pottery. Among these findings, particularly noteworthy are some Eastern Mediterranean amphorae and an important set of glazed pottery from Asia Minor workshops. Analyses of the set reveal the basic products that were habitually consumed in the fortress, in particular, Eastern Mediterranean wines, and prestigious products such as glazed pottery, particularly two skyphoi that present a curious iconographic motif related to the trial of Orestes |
