dc.description.abstract: Elaborate a tool that would allow to identify situations that are inadequate in relation to the illuminance conditions in the workplace, providing a more targeted intervention. In particular, the main objective of this study was to integrate a quantitative evaluation with a qualitative subjective assessment that would allow a more holistic approach on how the lighting conditions in working environment are perceived with respect to the workers' feeling of comfort. Methodology: the methodology consisted of (1) measuring the luminance and luminance levels of 73 work stations in an office environment, and (2) applying a questionnaire developed to understand the type of symptoms presented by workers and perception of the illuminance conditions in the workplace. Results: the results obtained revealed differences in the types of symptoms presented in individuals who presented one or more ocular pathologies in relation to those that did not present. Symptoms such as perceived discomfort, tiredness, difficulty concentrating and drowsiness seem to relate to individuals working in common spaces, as opposed to those who work in individual offices. Individuals who present one or more ocular pathologies show greater perception of discomfort, variations in illuminance and occurrence of glare in the workplace, as opposed to those who do not present eye problems. Conclusions: although the frequency analysis showed some tendencies in the relationships between the parameters under study, the analysis of the various hypotheses did not allow to establish statistically significant correlations, so it would be necessary to reformulate the structure and application of the study.
