| Abstract: | We describe the 2018 edition of the Recognised Environmental Picture exercise (REP18). Every year, the Portuguese Navy hosts an international exercise where challenging and novel operational scenarios are tested in a controlled environment. This is done to achieve a readiness level that allows the use of those developments in future real-world scenarios. The objectives range from military to different scientific purposes, always aiming for the use of innovative though operational technologies.
