| Abstract: | This dissertation seeks to strengthen the relationship between the natural and the artificial, exploring ways of interpreting water as an architectural element. Its development is based on the problems raised by a competition of ideas, which is based on the discussion about the need for spaces that promote concentration, artistic inspiration and meditation, and that are refuges from the constant rhythm of urban life. In this sense, water emerges as a key theme of drawing which, by identifying its characteristics and exploring its multisensory dimension, is the mediating element of the interior/exterior relationship, and promotes the spatial and tectonic investigation of these atmospheres of relaxation, introspection and creativity. |
| Description: | A presente dissertação procura estreitar a relação entre o natural e o artificial, explorando formas de interpretar a água enquanto elemento arquitetónico. O seu desenvolvimento realiza-se tendo por base a problemática levantada por um concurso de ideias, que assenta na discussão sobre a necessidade da existência de espaços que propiciem a concentração, a inspiração artística e a meditação, e que se constituam como refúgios do ritmo constante da vida urbana. Neste sentido, a água surge como um tema chave de desenho que, pela identificação das suas características e exploração da sua dimensão multissensorial, é o elemento mediador da relação interior/ exterior, e fomentador da indagação espacial e tectónica destas atmosferas de relaxamento, introspeção e criatividade. |
