Abstract

During the creation of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (FLUP), the memory of texts that identify the debates developed about its foundation, justifies, in the year of its centenary' commemoration, the choice of an unavoidable text wrote by Álvaro Ribeiro, which reflects the history of its beginnings and the personality that was forever related with the Faculty - Leonardo Coimbra.
