| Abstract: | Entrelaçar [en. Interlacing] is an investigation about Portuguese Basketry that intersects the fields of Handicraft and Architecture, in order to realize a systematization of cultural and technical principles in the definition of a constructive technique. Based on theoretical content and direct contact with the technique, the aim is to acquire the necessary skills to reinterpret the traditional basketry and its potential use in contemporary architecture. |
| Description: | Entrelaçar é uma investigação sobre a Cestaria Portuguesa que intersecta os campos do artesanato e da arquitectura, de forma a elaborar uma sistematização de princípios culturais e técnicos na definição de uma técnica construtiva. Partindo de conteúdos teóricos e do contacto directo com a técnica, pretende-se a aquisição de competências necessárias para a reinterpretação da cestaria tradicional e do seu potencial uso na arquitectura contemporânea. |
