Projeto de quatro habitações unifamiliares em Braga. Os modelos, a inventiva e as condicionantes regulamentares

Abstract

The dissertation presents the proposal of a design exercise of four single-family dwellings in Espessandes, on the outskirts of the city of Braga. The exercise takes place within the scope of the effective construction opportunity, and therefore, of real responsibility, which encompasses certain limitations imposed by the client's order, the contextual importance of the allotment, as well as the legislation inherent to the process. The deconstruction of the design process takes into account the understanding of the importance of the contextual heritage, specifically in the case of the region of Esporões and its particularity in the suburban relationship with Braga. No design process is, however, independent of more or less direct influences, for that reason this dissertation includes the study of three projects of three different architects who have been consistent with a particular line of personal action, namely with regard to the importance given to the wall.
