Pensar as políticas culturais no século XXI: o caso de Lisboa

Abstract

In this article we will analyze the new challenges faced by the local cultural policiesin the city of Lisbon, as well as the cultural strategies carried out by the Municipalityof Lisbon. It is important in this context, and preliminarily, to do a brief framework - astate of the art -for an understanding of the Portuguese cultural policies since the majorlandmark of the Portuguese contemporary history: the Democratic Revolution of April25, 1974. Then, based on the report Estratégias para a cultura da cidade de Lisboa 2016,as well as on the Agendas Culturais de Lisboa for the year 2015, we will carry out adouble approach: first, a more general analysis of the reality of local cultural practices inLisbon; then we will take an sectoral approach of the Lisbon cultural field, so that we canmeasure all the answers and new challenges that have arisen in the Portuguese capital.
