Mobilidade e Cultura - Projecto de Interface Cultural em Gaia

Abstract

For the present work, from the thesis dissertation, it's proposed the elaboration of a project that results from the critical reflection on the relation between cultural activity of a city, and the mobility and daily routine of a metropolis. It will be a Cultural Interface Terminal, in Vila Nova de Gaia, that will connect the city and the arts, in a meeting between transport and culture, life and movement. The project will complement the place where it will be inserted, in association with the Metro station D. João II, as well as the theme of the Gaia Biennial, which is currently integrated in the cultural context of the city. Throughout this work, a reflection on the themes of the project is made, associating the reality to the proposed one, with development on three themes: Framework, Context and Place, which will be composed and finalized in a last moment, the Proposal, integrating all the theoretical part studied in a practical project associated with real ground.
