| Abstract: | The theme of rehabilitation of the built heritage has been increasingly debated, currently, within the scope of Architecture. From a perspective of sustainability, it becomes imperative to take advantage of the existing building that, at the outset, has no architectural or historical value, but which may become of patrimonial and cultural interest for a community. Reflecting on its rehabilitation reveals an exercise of Good Practices in this type of building. In this sense, this dissertation explores the operational field of architecture in the intervention in the built, through the elaboration of a proposal of rehabilitation of a family house built in the 1980s by a non qualified process of self-construction. The house is located in the Alvão region, more specifically in the parish of Adoufe, in the municipality of Vila Real. Through a work method that covers the whole process of surveying the housing complex, the project exercise reflects on the imposition of the various issues and constraints underlying the intervention and clarifies and implements the theoretical research carried out, enriched with the crossing of other case studies that served as methodological project references, although none of them with the premise of intervention in a similar architectural case. Understood as the crossroads of several disciplines, this work is also part of the study of the place, with the integration and dynamization of the agricultural potential of the space in question, in order to make investments profitable and consolidate future perspectives. The purpose of this dissertation is to reveal the pertinence of the rehabilitation of an apparently uninteresting heritage, by adapting a building to the new needs, while requalifying and enhancing its cultural, social, natural and architectural characteristics. |
| Description: | A temática da reabilitação do património edificado tem sido cada vez mais debatida nos dias correntes no âmbito da disciplina de Arquitetura. Numa perspetiva de sustentabilidade, torna-se imperativo o aproveitamento do edificado existente que à partida não tem qualquer valor arquitetónico nem histórico, mas que pode tornar-se de interesse patrimonial e cultural para uma comunidade. Refletir acerca da sua reabilitação revela-se um exercício de Boas Práticas neste tipo de edificado. Neste sentido, a presente dissertação explora o campo operativo da arquitetura na intervenção no construído, através da elaboração de uma proposta de reabilitação de uma casa familiar edificada por um processo de autoconstrução não qualificado nos anos 1980, que se situa na região do Alvão, mais especificamente na freguesia de Adoufe, no concelho de Vila Real. Por meio de um método de trabalho, que abrange todo um processo de levantamento do conjunto habitacional, o exercício de projeto reflete sobre a imposição das várias questões e condicionantes subjacentes à intervenção e clarifica e põe em prática a investigação teórica realizada, enriquecida com o cruzamento de outros casos de estudo distintos e que serviram como referências metodológicas de projeto, embora nenhum deles com a premissa de uma intervenção num caso arquitetónico semelhante. Entendido como o cruzamento de diversas disciplinas, este trabalho ingressa ainda no estudo do lugar, com a integração e a dinamização das potencialidades agrícolas do espaço em causa, no sentido de rentabilizar os investimentos e consolidar as perspetivas de futuro. O exercício desta dissertação procura divulgar a pertinência da reabilitação de um património aparentemente desinteressante, através da adaptação de um edifício às novas necessidades, ao mesmo tempo que requalifica e valoriza as suas características culturais, sociais, naturais e arquitetónicas. |
