Abstract

The present dissertation evolves in an attempt to meet the self, as a living element and agent in the process of making city. This intent, which has gained importance in the encounter of new ways of reading, thinking, observing and projecting the city, led to the definition of a structuring question in the dissertation course, examining the role and posture of the architect in the present: excess of architecture of excesses? We sought to answer the formulation from studies, observations and intentions created by various entities, contemporary or not, in an attempt to validate and value the learning and clarification of the values and postures to retain in the space, in the field of self, as a person and an architect. Thus, for this reason, a possibility, a hypothesis of study was placed, searched, moved in a projective prospective in/for a real urban context. The projective intention aims, in this manner, to formulate a parallel strategy to the current urban image and its dynamics, from which to learn new ways of seeing, observing and (not) building in the city.
