| Description: | In this dissertation there will be explored the aplication of eletrocmagnetic radiation technology to the inspection of cork based products, with special enphasys on cork stoppers. This research aims to detect and evaluate critical defects, density variations and the presence of strange objects (metal, glass, ...), as well as categorize the cork by its main features (density and number of years). To achieve the set of objectives previously defined, studies were run on the different technologies involved and several experiments were carried out. The experiment results obtained so far show that this technology has great potential, demonstrating capacity to do well many of the things it has set out to accomplish. |
