E nada mais foi como dantes: fragmentos contraculturais e seus estilhaços no pós-Abril de 1974 em Portugal

Abstract

In the the 50th anniversary of May 1968 events, this article aims to analyze the influences and impacts of May 1968 in Portugal in two different periods: before and after the Revolution of April 25, 1974. We consider that due to the specific socio-political conditions, Portugal is a paradigmatic case to understand how the May of 68 influenced a whole range of areas, from politics, or cultural patterns, to aesthetic-cultural innovations. After a brief analysis of the social context of Portugal in the decades 1960/1970, we intent to focus on the main pre-25 of April 1974 dimensions influenced by the May of 68. In a third moment, we explore these influences in the post-25th April period, more specifically in the 1980s, trying to give concrete examples of groups and movements that we consider to be paradigmatic of these influences: the Homeostético Movement, the Felizes da Fé collective and the punk movement.
