Chañaral. Lugar, circunstância, oportunidade de projeto

Abstract

The present dissertation concerns the desire of developing a project for Chañaral, a small coastal city located in Atacama´s Desert, at the North of Chile, profoundly devastated after the occurrence of a flood, followed by a tsunami that stroke the Pacific, in March 2015. The concretized proposal contemplates a flashback, with the main purpose of it´s rethinking and ripening, into the exchange´s program team and individual project - Proyecto Chañaral UC, De la Catástrofe à la Reconstrucción - developed in Taller de Ejercitación III, on Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Chile, in Santiago do Chile. The Project intends to interpret the Site and it´s context, as well as the Circumstance behind the personal experience of post catastrophe scenario, as an opportunity to begin, idealize and draw a new proposal to it, tested by the referral´s panoply that certifies it.
