Abstract

The present work was carried out in the scope of the Professional Stage of the second cycle of studies, leading to the Master's degree in Physical Education Teaching, in Basic and Secondary Education, of the Faculdade de Desporto of the Universidade do Porto. Here we try to show the path taken by a trainee student throughout his or hers internship year. All the experiences and tasks carried out in the school context are presented, with reference to the intended objectives and results achieved. The work presented here was followed from the beginning by a teacher from the Escola Básica Dr. Costa Matos where the Professional Internship took place, as well as by a Faculty member. In the first point - Introduction - the reasons and objectives of the Internship Report are presented. In the second point - Personal Framing - personal experiences are described throughout this process, as well as the expectations and future goals. In the third point - Institutional Framework - the legal context of the Professional Internship is presented as well as the characterization of the school where it was done. In the fourth point - Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning - the evaluation model and the research carried out are presented. In the fifth point - Participation in the School and Relationship with the Community - some of the activities developed are presented. In the sixth point - Professional Development - the learning carried out throughout the school year is presented. Finally, in the seventh point - Conclusion - the conclusions of the study are presented, as well as perspectives for the future.
