Organização de Eventos Desportivos Estágio no International Soccer Championship

Abstract

The main purpose of this report in profissional training is to describe the entity where the internship was held, and the activities developed in it. The internship took place in International Soccer Championship and it was based on the event organization - international youth football tournament - which was held in Matosinhos, specifically in Leça da Palmeira, Custóias, Leixões and Lavra, from the 18th to the 25th of June. This document describes my experiences in the organizational structure of the event. The main objective of my activity as a trainee member of the organization is to monitor, plan, execute and evaluate the entire organizational process of the sporting event, thus contributing to an acquisition and reinforcement of skills in the area in question. Along the same, the different areas of operation where a sports manager may be involved are identified and analyzed, in different stages of the sporting event. However, it has the particularity of being very focused on the marketing area, culminating with the publishable synthesis, whose goal is to gather the necessary information to understand the importance of marketing sports as a vehicle for promoting brands. This may he achieved through association with major sporting events or even with world-renowned professional athletes. In sports, there are unique features and it is through these same characteristics that brands take the opportunity to communicate with consumers, for sports in general, and football in particular, move millions, but also arouse emotions.
