Reativar espaços negligenciados - intervenções pontuais como catalisador de regeneração urbana

Abstract

The economic reality in Europe and the shortage of funding, conditioned by the economic crises that has affected the real state market and the planning of cities, triggered diverse approaches in the field of architecture, more specifically, the management of resources associated with urban interventions of small and medium scale. Consequently, it has been verified alternative ways to intervene in which its main actors are multidisciplinary teams and citizens interested in the problems of the city, namely it's public space; that is those who are concerned with the reactivation of neglected buildings and areas. This projects give primacy to values absent from the modus operandi of the economic market, in particular of social justice, environmental awareness and social ethics. The present work focuses, thus, on bottom-up strategies to intervene in the city that can respond more effectively and quickly to urban and social needs. In this way, we intend to focus on punctual acts/interventions in the city that are of quick response, awake the regeneration of the surroundings and that interfere, in a positive way, in the social dynamics.
