| Abstract: | In Alto Alentejo, marble is excavated since Roman times. The landscape of the anticlinal is a carved out one. Territory shapes in negative the past and present movements. It witnesses the activity of geology, meteorology, humans and vegetation. This itinerary of a non place reveals the alchemy of time and space in matter. The nomad, industrial and contemplative itineraries transform the non place into an open hortus conclusus where one can wander. The proposal presents a method for the architecture project. From extraction to construction, till its state of ruin. |
| Description: | No Alto Alentejo, escavamos mármore desde o tempo dos romanos. A paisagem do anticlinal é talhada. O território forma o negativo do conjunto dos movimentos presentes e passados, sejam geológicos, meteorológicos humanos ou vegetais. O itinerário de um não lugar revela a alquimia do tempo e do espaço na matéria. Os percursos nómadas, industriais e contemplativos tornam o não lugar num hortus conclusus aberto onde derivamos. A proposta apresenta uma metodologia de projeto de arquitetura no território. Da extração à construção até à ruína. |
