Title: Development of a Servo Motor Optimised for Robotic Applications
Issue Date: 2017-02-13
Description: SMORA (Servo-Motor Optimised for Robotic Applications) is a custom built servo-motor comprising several sensors and higher level addressing/communication capabilities. It aims to overcome some of the limitations of current servo-motor technology while following an open-source philosophy. A working prototype will allow for the study and extraction of dynamic model parameters through experimental analysis. A robotic arm is to be built as a proof-of-concept to showcase the servo's features.
