Powerful Spaces - Precisões Sobre Um Sistema Presente

Abstract

Attending École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and being part of the laboratory lectured by the suisse architects Lorenzo Giuliani and Christian Hönger enable the confrontation with a particular approach to architectural issues. Aware of the heterogeneity of the interveners tied to the act of design, Giuliani and Hönger face any project as an opportunity to explore certain topics that in their perspective validate the conception and construction of the vast field of Architecture. The present dissertation aims to revisit the design process of a project for the headquarters of the helvetic group Kibag, developed throughout a period of fourteen weeks in the academic laboratory giuliani.hönger. It is intended to explain and deepen the subjects proposed by the laboratory as design guidelines and reflect on the methodology adopted by the architects, evaluating its relevancy as a means of investigation and action.
