| Abstract: | In the last few years, society has witnessed the massification of mobile devices. The possibility to access a large amount of information at any time has brought new ways to interact with the world around us and new manners to accomplish our daily tasks. This has forced many companies to reinvent themselves and to evolve, and transportation companies are not an exception to the phenomenon. By designing new services, tailored to each customer, and implementing them in an Android application with built in mobile payment capabilities, this project intends to be a solution for this problem and take the evolutionary process one step further. The presented solution revolves around a voucher and promotions systems, managed by the business owners themselves via a backoffice website, which can be acquired by the application users in the mobile device using a virtual coin, awarded to the user as a result of buying transportation titles. |
| Description: | Nos últimos anos, a sociedade tem assistido à massificação dos dispositivos móveis. A possibilidade de aceder a uma grande quantidade de informação a qualquer momento trouxe consigo novas maneiras de interagir com o mundo que nos rodeia e novos modos de realizar as tarefas diárias. Isto obrigou muitas empresas e reinventarem-se e evoluírem, fenómeno ao qual as empresas de transporte não são exceção. Desenhando novos serviços, adaptados a cada utilizador, e implementando-os numa aplicação Android com capacidades para pagamentos móveis, este projecto pretende apresentar uma solução para o problema existente e levar o processo evolutivo desta tecnologia um passo para a frente. A solução apresentada gira em torno de um sistema de vouchers e promoções, geridos pelos donos dos negócios através de um backoffice web, e que podem ser adquiridas pelos utilizadores da aplicação usando uma moeda virtual, resultado da compra dos diversos títulos de transporte. |
