Abstract

The main goal of this project is the "active awakening" of people s minds regarding the way Porto city is at the present time. It s a sort of mobility or social mission through a visual and conceptual perception. In this matter, the development of this project is most of all, an invitation to change city images perception conferring them their very own characteristics of photogenie and of monumentality, settling in three fundamental or essential points. Firstly, allows the visitor of the project-site to read these spaces in another way, acquiring other interpretations or perceptions. Secondly, there is also a clear invitation to people who will be able to materialize these city spaces, attributing them meanings or concepts in conformity with their own experiences or realities and will also be able to submit their own contributions of images to the project, within the scope of the subject. Finally, the project invites also the visitor to (re)visit the city remitting him to places where normally he won t be able to go, namely the abandoned or in ruins places in the city centre. In this matter, it is suggested the visitor possibility to (re)create or (re)invent virtual journeys through the city.
