Test Automation in Enterprise Application Development

Abstract

The Agile Software Development has been imposed as a major trend in the Software industry. Therefore, it is important that the test process easily integrates in the agile process. Testing a product from its start throughout its lifecycle is the foundation on which the agile testing is built. Futhermore, testing is used as a tool to assess the quality of a software product, which contributes to the important role that software testing plays during the software development. However, we think that the maturation of testing techniques has been fruitful, that is why the aim of this dissertation is to optimize the software methodologies and the existing testing tools at Sysnovare. It is worth mentioning that we will develop this work mainly focusing on the following three aspects: the data volume and its quality; on quality test batchs and on automatic tools to interact with a Oracle database.
