| Title: | Expeditious noise mapping at a municipal level |

| Abstract: | The 1987 Portuguese Noise Code requires noise zoning using the LA50 parameter in two periods (day and night). The new Portuguese Noise Code (to be published soon) will use the parameter LAeq for the same periods and purposes but enforces the municipalities to determine their noise maps. This will be a huge task for the 307 municipalities. Therefore there is a need to find a fast but valid method to perform that work with not many means in equipment or manpower.
