Title: Simulación LES de flujos turbulentos: el clásico ejemplo del flujo alrededor de un cilindro

Abstract: During the last 4 decades, the growth in computational power enabled the substantial progress in the development of Large Eddy Simulations (LES) for turbulent flows. In this paper, we develop two independent simulations of the flow around a cylinder. We take into account the conceptual foundations of LES, the principles used in its application and, additionally, experimental data is used for the validation of the results in THIS classic case of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) studies.
