dc.description.abstractThe on-line meteorological station at the Faculty ofEngineering of University of Porto (FEUP) has been anexample of a very successful remote lab of sensitive typefor several years. In the very recent past it also has beena example of joint work under an internationalcooperation program between the Portuguese SystemIntegration and Process Automation research Unit atIDMEC-FEUP, the Building Physics Laboratory atFEUP, and the Hungarian Budapest University ofTechnology and Economics. In fact, the familiarity withmeteorological data is important either for research orfor teaching aims in different engineering areas. Thismeteorological station at FEUP has been a popularremote lab for other Universities in Portugal and also formany high schools.
