dc.description.abstractThe IEC 61499 standard defines function blocks withwhich distributed control applications may be developed,and how these are interpreted and executed. With thedistributed nature of the control application, many issuesalso need to be taken into account. In this paper wepropose a replication management framework for IEC61499 applications, and discuss some mechanisms andprotocols that may be used for this purpose.
