dc.description.abstract | The paper describes the ambient vibration testing, modal identification and finite element updating of an existingstress-ribbon bridge, so as to create a reliable numerical model that enables the accurate numerical simulation ofthe dynamic behaviour of the bridge under pedestrian loads. This study shows clearly the importance ofexperimental testing for the correct assessment of this type of bridges, whose dynamic behaviour is conditionedby geometric non-linearities. | |
