| Abstract: | This paper sets out to reappraise the original 1976 book entitled "Notional Syllabuses" by D.A.Wilkins on the advent of the twenty-first anniversary of its publication. An outline and personal assessment of the content of the book are presented in the light of more recent developments in methodological approaches to T.E.F.L., more specifically with reference to Communicative Language Teaching. |
