| Abstract: | Thesubject of this Dissertation has as its main purpose the analysis of the effective intersection between architecture and dance, in order to make both practices fuller, in what concerns their essential purposes.Both architecture and dance, embrace themselves in their fundamental matters: body and space.The goal of this work dissertation is to achieve guiding premises and characteristics that reinforce the home of a moving body, that flows through it in an intense way.First, there is a proposal of an analysis of the concepts and typologies that have something to do with the theatrical architecture of a theatre and stage setting, in order to have a consistent point of departure for the main aim of this work. Next, I try to make the different aspects of this intersection between architecture and dance clearer, having the theatre itself, the room for the stage setting and the scenography as main parts in this experiment and in the checking assessment of possibilities.The final part of this work is complemented with a practical proposal for an intervention in a non-conventional theatre, flexible and changeable, idealized to be suitable for the demands of a dancing body and adapted to a choreographical language.T Theintention of this project proposal is to sum up and show the conclusions drawn throughout the whole work and also as an experiment to open windows for possible developments of a new typology. |
| Description: | O tema da presente Dissertação tem como principal foco a análise dos cruzamentos efectivos e reciprocamente consequentes entre a arquitectura e a dança, de forma a tornar ambas as práticas mais plenas nos seus propósitos essenciais.As duas disciplinas começam por ser tangentes nas matérias fundamentais: corpo e espaço.Através deste trabalho pretende-se apurar premissas orientadoras e características que enfatizem a arquitectura enquanto contexto de um corpo em movimento, que flui e a percorre intensamente.Inicialmente proponho uma análise dos conceitos e tipologias ligados à arquitectura teatral e ao espaço cénico, para estabelecer uma base consistente para o objectivo proposto. Seguidamente, passo a uma clarificação dos vários aspectos em que se efectiva a intersecção da arquitectura com a dança, tendo o espaço teatral, o espaço cénico e a cenografia como interfaces de experimentação e aferição de possibilidades.Na parte final, o trabalho é complementado com uma proposta de intervenção para um espaço teatral não-convencional, flexível e mutável, idealizado para servir as exigências do corpo dançado e adaptado a uma linguagem coreográfica.Este ensaio de projecto pretende funcionar como uma síntese aglutinadora das conclusões tiradas ao longo do trabalho e também, enquanto experimentação, abrir possibilidades para possíveis desenvolvimentos de uma nova tipologia. |
