Avaliação da composição corporal e da ingestão nutricional em mulheres submetidas a tratamentos de procriação medicamente assistida

Abstract

Resumo da dissertação:Introdução: Os Tratamentos de Procriação Medicamente Assistida (TPMA) têm sido realizados com maior frequência. Na Europa são realizados cerca de 250 000 ciclos por ano. A composição corporal, a Insulinorresistência e a ingestão nutricional influenciam a fertilidade das mulheres. Objectivos: Avaliar a evolução da composição corporal e da ingestão nutricional das mulheres submetidas a estes tratamentos; determinar se existe associação entre a variação da composição corporal e a ingestão nutricional; determinar a prevalência de IR nestas mulheres e se existe associação entre a IR e a composição corporal ou a ingestão nutricional. Métodos: Foram avaliadas 107 mulheres que iniciaram TPMA. Em 3 momentos ao longo do tratamento, avaliaram-se parâmetros antropométricos (peso, IMC, PC, PA, PC/PA), os obtidos pela Bioimpedância e o HOMA-R. A ingestão nutricional foi avaliada por Questionário de Frequência Alimentar no início e no final do tratamento. Estudou-se como evoluíram estes parâmetros. Resultados: No início do tratamento estas mulheres tinham uma composição corporal, em média, dentro da normalidade (IMC=23,7, PC=74,2, PC/PA=0,748, MG=27,4) mas encontravam-se desidratadas (ACT=53,1%). Os valores de glicemia (82 mg/dl), insulinemia (7,8 μU/l) e HOMA-R (1,62) encontravam-se dentro dos intervalos de referência e não encontramos casos de IR. A ingestão nutricional também estava de acordo com o recomendado. Durante o período do tratamento aumentaram a PC/PA (0,753) e a MG (28,6%) e a ACT diminui (52,1%). Os valores de glicemia (86,7 mg/dl), insulinemia (11,4 μU/l) e HOMA-R (2,47) aumentaram e surgiram casos de IR no 2º (2,1%) e no 3º momento (12,7%). Durante este período diminuiu a ingestão nutricional. (...)

Dissertation abstract:Introduction: The Assisted Reproductive Treatments (ART) have been carried through with bigger frequency. In the Europe they are carried through about 250000 cycles per year. The body composition, the Insulinresistance (IR) and the nutritional ingestion influence women´s fertility. Objectives: To evaluate the evolution of the body composition and the nutritional ingestion of the women submitted to these treatments; evaluate if exists association between the variation of the body composition and the ingestion; evaluate the prevalence of IR in these women and if exists association between IR and the body composition or the nutritional ingestion. Methods: 107 women who had initiated ART had been evaluated. At 3 moments throughout the treatment, the anthropometric parameters (weight, BMI, WC, HC, WC/HC), the Bioimpedance parameters and the HOMA-R had been evaluated. The nutritional ingestion was evaluated by food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) at the beginning and in the end of the treatment. It was studied as these parameters had evolved. Results: At the beginning of the treatment these women had, on average, a normal body composition (BMI=23,7, WC=74,2, WC/HC=0,748, FM=27,4) but were dehydrated (TBW=53,1%). The values of glucose (82 mg/dl), insulin (7,8 μU/l) and HOMA-R (1,62) were inside the reference intervals and we did not find cases of IR. The nutritional ingestion also was in accordance with the recommended. During the treatment, increased the WC/HC (0,753) and the FM (28,6%) and the TBW diminished (52,1%). The values of glucose (86,7 mg/dl), insulin (11,4 μU/l) and HOMA-R (2,47) increased and appeared cases of IR in the 2nd (2,1%) and 3th moment (12,7%). During this period it diminishes the nutritional ingestion. The alterations of the body composition and the values to determine IR were not related with the alterations of the nutritional ingestion.(...)
