Monitorização da forma da vela de um barco baseada em sensores de Bragg
This paper presents a monitoring system based on fiber optic strain gauge networks used to reconstruct the deflected form of a yacht sail in real time. The developed method is validated through experimental tests using an instrumented beam with Bragg sensors deformed in common configurations of the sail shape. It is shown that a small number of instrumented sections is required to accurately define the sail shape parameters.
