A ampliação do conceito de Patrimônio Cultural e a Unesco

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to reflect on what has become known as the "extension of the concept of cultural heritage", which took place in the last decades, based on the normative set of Unesco. In this sense, the article seeks to discuss the international political contexts that propitiates such changes highlighting its main legal frameworks and the changes in the way of thinking and perceiving cultural heritage. Finally, the paper seeks to discuss the perceptions of different authors about the challenges and consequences of this new way of conceiving cultural heritage.
