Requalificação da Quinta da Piela

Abstract

The present dissertation consists of a project for a requalification of a Farm on the North bank of the River Douro and its inherent Process. As its only starting point a reflection was made on a theme that is intrinsically linked to architecture, "The relationship between Man and Nature", with the support essentially in the book "Os Olhos da Pele" by the Architect and Author Juhani Pallasmaa. Parallel to the project exercise was made a reflection on the work process of the Architect, based essentially on the book "The Thinking Hand", also by the Architect and Author Juhani Pallasmaa, which relates the apprehension tools of its exterior "The World" and the tools of exploration of the interior, "The Self".
