Relatório de Estágio Profissionalizante nos sub15 e sub19 do Clube Desportivo Feirense: Reflexões sobre Liderança

Abstract

Inserted within the scope of the 2nd year Master's Degree in Sport for Children and Youngsters of the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, this internship report aims to describe in detail how the work done during the 2016/2017 season was carried out in the initiates and juniors of the Clube Desportivo Feirense. During the season, I had the opportunity to work in two different levels, first with the team of Initiates U-15 and in early January, after invitation from Mister Tiago Conde in the U-19 team of the Santa Maria da Feira club. Both teams were in the 1st division of the National Championship of the respective echelon. This report will demonstrate how this whole season has been held, what the proposed goals and activities have been for the team and the club, in order to evolve with each passing day. It will also aim to be a practical study on leadership in football. The fact that I was inserted in two different realities within the same club made me able to observe and analyze two different styles of leadership. Regardless of leadership style, it is concluded that leadership is a preponderant factor in a team's success. Both coaches with whom I had the opportunity to work refer that it is fundamental that the team '' follow '' the coach. Although the sports objectives of the team were not fulfilled, this stage was very rich in experiences and learning, allowing to deepen the topic of leadership in a more practical and empirical context and contributing to a growth in the professional practice of football coach.
