A Gestão do Campeonato Mundial Universitário de Floorball em Portugal

Abstract

The current work was elaborated within the context of the professional internship in Sports Center of University of Porto. Associated with competition department, it was assumed the responsibility to integrate and organized the 7th World University Floorball Championship (7.ºWUFC), which was on July of 2016 in Porto. In this point of view, it was intended to take up the challenge in order to learn more about the modality, seeking to develop it in Portugal, culminating in the organization of a sport event, with a participation of Portuguese team. This work has an introduction and is divided into six chapters. In the first chapter are the procedures and the goals established throughout the internship. In the second, a conceptual framework is made, while in the third the framework is related to the institutions that were involved in the organization of 7.ºWUFC. Fourth chapter is related to the execution of tasks during the pre-event, report the event areas and other activities developed. In fifth, there is a reflection of all the acquired learning. Finally, the last one is the final synthesis related to this work. The main goal of this internship was to be involved on 7.ºWUFC organization, being an active part of the execution, planning and decision of all necessary sport event tasks. First of all, the activity of this internship was made with executive committee and later with the organizing committee. In addition to the last goal, more objectives were also fulfilled, such as training actions for floorball implementation, as well as the involvement in the organization and dynamization of CDUP-UP activities. The practice of the internship was based on the accomplishment of these goals. So, it was fundamental the acquisition of knowledge, the experience arising from the moments and the teaching to those involved in the sporting event over time.
