We carried out a survey of workers at the University of Porto, which made it possible to identify trends and to understand how these workers, particularly those at the end of their careers, perceive the event of the transition to retirement. So, we started by addressing the organization and representation of information in the context of information mediation, equating how the infocomunicacional phenomenon, which occurs through digital platforms, can result in the design of a "digital mediation of information," according to the current paradigm of Information Science. The mediation skills required of information professionals and the technological and digital user's skills in information literacy were highlighted. Then, we tried to know the current state of use of digital platforms for Archives services, and software in use, in Portugal and other countries. Using an empirical study and a triangulation of information gathering techniques that consisted of surveys by interview and questionnaire and observation using the analysis grid, we were able to get the perspective of all concerned the theme under study. The results have shown us the main difficulties that users experience with some aspects of information representation on digital platforms of archives services. Description: Este estudo tem como objetivo entender as estratégias de mediação adotadas na representação da informação nas plataformas digitais usadas nos serviços de arquivo e, sobretudo, se estão direcionadas para o utilizador final. Começamos por abordar a organização e representação da informação no contexto da mediação da informação equacionando de que modo o fenómeno infocomunicacional, que ocorre nas plataformas digitais, pode contribuir para a conceção de uma "mediação digital da informação", à luz do paradigma atual da Ciência da Informação. Evidenciaram-se as competências mediadoras exigidas aos profissionais da informação e as competências tecnológicas e digitais dos utilizadores no âmbito da literacia da informação. We intend to evaluate how the press of the time - particularly, those positioned against the Government and/or the political regime: O Século, O Dia and O Mundo- covered this scandal. Using quantitative and the qualitative methods, we will assess the framing of the news stories, and the tone and language used. We also want to study the role that sources played in the news: how frequent their use, the prevailing categories of confidentiality (from the modern theories' perspective), the amount of information attributed to them, and their socio-professional origins. Through this method, we expect to contribute to a deeper knowledge of the Portuguese press of the first decade of the 20th century, as well as of the journalistic coverage of economic themes. Description: O presente artigo tem como objetivo o estudo da cobertura jornalística da falência de uma instituição de crédito bancário, em 1910: o Crédito Predial Português. Pretendemos avaliar a cobertura que a imprensa - em particular, alguma da que se situava na oposição ao governo em funções e/ou ao regime político vigente: O Século, O Dia e O Mundo - fez do escândalo. Procederemos a análises quantitativas e qualitativas, a fim de avaliar os enquadramentos noticiosos e o tom e a linguagem usadas.
