    <summary type="text">Title: Unsupervised Image Anomaly Detection and Localization in Industrial Textile Inspection
Abstract: Image anomaly localisation in texture patterns is a key challenge in industrial inspection, particularly in textile manufacturing scenarios. Recent unsupervised learning methods report strong performance on widely adopted benchmarks such as MVTec AD. However, it remains unclear to what extent these methods generalise across different texture distributions, anomaly types, and pattern structures commonly found in real-world industrial environments.
This work investigates the current state of the art in unsupervised image anomaly detection and localisation, with a particular focus on texture-based inspection. It reviews existing model families, datasets, evaluation metrics, and development frameworks while providing a structured overview of the evolution of the field.
The experimental component presents a comparative study of several unsupervised anomaly localisation methods applied to textile-oriented industrial scenarios. The evaluation compares these methods across multiple textile anomaly datasets, analysing their behaviour under different texture patterns and data distributions. The study also examines the influence of texture-related inductive biases and evaluates the suitability of the methods for deployment in real industrial production-line environments.
Description: A localização de anomalias em padrões de textura constitui um desafio fundamental na inspeção industrial, particularmente em contextos de fabrico têxtil. Métodos recentes de aprendizagem não supervisionada têm demonstrado um desempenho elevado em benchmarks amplamente utilizados, como o MVTec AD. No entanto, permanece por esclarecer até que ponto estes métodos conseguem generalizar para diferentes distribuições de textura, tipos de anomalias e estruturas de padrões frequentemente encontrados em ambientes industriais reais.
Este trabalho investiga o estado da arte da deteção e localização não supervisionada de anomalias em imagens, com especial enfoque na inspeção baseada em texturas. Para tal, apresenta uma revisão das principais famílias de modelos, datasets, métricas de avaliação e frameworks de desenvolvimento, fornecendo simultaneamente uma perspetiva estruturada sobre a evolução desta área de investigação.
A componente experimental consiste num estudo comparativo de vários métodos de localização não supervisionada de anomalias aplicados a cenários industriais orientados para o setor têxtil. A avaliação compara estes métodos em múltiplos datasets de anomalias têxteis, analisando o seu comportamento perante diferentes padrões de textura e distribuições de dados. O estudo examina ainda a influência de vieses indutivos orientados para a textura e avalia a adequação dos métodos à sua implementação em ambientes industriais reais, nomeadamente em linhas de produção.</summary>
