    <summary type="text">Title: Pharmacological therapies for neglected tropical diseases: a systematic review and evidence gap mapping
Abstract: Background: Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) comprise 21 endemic infections that affect over one billion people worldwide. This study mapped and identified evidence gaps regarding pharmacological therapies for all WHO-recognized NTDs. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed for systematic reviews (SRs) and randomized controlled trials (RCTs), and the ClinicalTrials. gov database for ongoing RCTs. Methodological quality was assessed using the AMSTAR-2 for SRs and the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool for RCTs. Data were synthesized into evidence and gap maps, and the distribution of evidence was analyzed according to quality. Results: Twenty-four maps were developed, including 74 SRs, 500 RCTs, and 70 ongoing clinical trials; of these, only seven SRs and 17 RCTs were rated as high quality or as having a low risk of bias, respectively. Trachoma exhibited the highest number of evidence gaps, while Buruli ulcer had the lowest. Taeniasis/cysticercosis presented the highest proportion (31.8%) of high-quality SRs, whereas Chagas disease showed the highest proportion of RCTs with a low risk of bias (18.4%). Conclusions: Significant gaps remain in the evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of pharmacological treatments for WHO-recognized NTDs. The currently available evidence is predominantly of low methodological quality and is often insufficient to support robust therapeutic conclusions, highlighting the urgent need for rigorously designed clinical trials.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Assistive technologies for medication self-management in people with disabilities: A systematic scoping review and evidence map
Abstract: Background Medication self-management poses significant challenges for persons with disabilities. Although self-help devices and assistive technologies (ATs) have the potential to enhance autonomy and safety, the evidence supporting their effectiveness is fragmented. Objective To systematically map scientific literature on ATs that support medication use among individuals with vision disorders, hearing loss, or intellectual disabilities. Methods A systematic scoping review was conducted in accordance with the JBI and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Six databases were searched for studies published since 2000 that evaluated ATs designed to support medication management in specified populations. Data were extracted in duplicate to classify the technologies, study designs, and outcomes. Results Of the 1147 identified records, 80 studies were included. Most of these studies addressed visual impairment (n = 41; 51.2%) and focused on electronic devices. The evidence base consisted primarily of small-scale observational studies. Only 23 studies (28.7%) evaluated outcomes, primarily user satisfaction or device performance. Only three studies assessed clinical outcomes such as medication errors or hospitalizations, and only ten (12.5%) reported cost analyses. Conclusions There is a critical gap between the technological innovation of ATs and their clinical validation. Despite the existence of numerous prototypes, there is a lack of robust evidence on the effectiveness, safety, and cost-effectiveness of ATs. Future research should use rigorous methods, such as randomized controlled trials and economic evaluations, to prove the clinical value of ATs in improving medication safety and accessibility for people with disabilities.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Key performance indicators for hospital clinical pharmacy services: results of a global Delphi study
Abstract: IntroductionThe contribution of clinical pharmacy services (CPS) to patient outcomes and system performance is still not consistently measured. Most key performance indicators (KPIs) have been suggested only by pharmacists, without formal piloting or validation, and without benchmarking reference values. KPIs are indicators used to quantify pharmacists' clinical activities and their association with improvements in patient safety, therapeutic outcomes, and healthcare costs. There is a need for a globally informed, multi-stakeholder consensus on a core set of KPIs for hospital clinical pharmacy services that are explicitly outcome-based and suitable for international use.AimThis study aimed to reach a consensus on a core set of KPIs for clinical pharmacy activities in hospital settings, achieved through a multi-stakeholder consensus process.MethodThe 3-round Delphi technique was used to reach a consensus. Panellists were systematically selected from three groups of stakeholders: 'Clinical Pharmacy KPI Experts', 'Healthcare Systems Assessment Experts', and 'Patient Association Representatives'. The initial set of KPIs was based on themes identified in a previous review study. During the three rounds, the consensus thresholds increased from 60 to 70% and then to 80%. Panellists could suggest new KPIs and propose modifications to those already suggested.ResultsOf the 480 potential experts initially identified, 342 valid email addresses were found, of which 49 (from 25 countries) committed to the Delphi study, including 22 clinical pharmacy experts, 21 patient representatives, and six healthcare systems assessment experts. A total of 43 panellists from 23 different countries completed the third round. Starting with 12 KPIs (plus one added in the first round), the panellists agreed on five KPIs, which were distributed as follows: Three clinical KPIs (adverse drug event rate, medication-related near miss event rate and medication goal achievement rate); one economic KPI (average optimised treatment cost difference); and one humanistic outcome KPI (patient satisfaction survey results). A manual containing the KPI information sheets was created.ConclusionA global panel of stakeholders, including pharmacists, other healthcare professionals, and patient representatives, agreed on a core set of KPIs for hospital-provided CPS. This set comprises five measures covering three types of outcomes: economic, clinical, and humanistic.</summary>
